Planted this at least 26 years ago.  Been growing GREAT until the CRB invasiion    in 2013.

Been treating the trunk and ground with a systemic to kill the beetles.  Seemed to be working for a year or two, but now poor baby has no new frond sticking straight  up.  Time will tell if any will grow anymore.
