adonidia dried after 1 week vacation

Featured Replies

Hi ! I keep my adonidia indoor for the winter (Canada). I have a light room with 70% humidity. Not in front of a heater or anything.

I watered everything before I left for 10 days. Humidity dropped a bit in the 50% range and the soil was dry of course as I was away.

I came back and found it looking brown and dry. I did cut the dead branches, watered it, sprayed water all over it and even put a humidifier.

It was just beautiful before I left. It is producing new leafs so I think there is hope but sometimes when something starts it’s hard to reverse course with palms.

I took picture of how it looks like right now. Should I just leave it as is ? Any tips ? Thanks

Just let it ride, it's really all you can do. I think the humidifier will help. It's kinda funny how fast palms will decline and how long it takes them to recover. Not funny haha, the other kind.

Keep an eye on how much water you give it, your soil mix look ok but possibly on the too wet side . Perhaps your over loving with water before  you left may have been to much!
