Not every day you get to see that in habitat! 

Those are some stunning photos. Amazing variety of palms, no wonder it’s the most biodiverse country. Love those tall Attalea, and the little ones too.

Of course i managed to collect some seeds 😇. Sadly the iriartea deltoida got fugus rapidly. But I hope to get some calyptrogyne and asterogyne

Particularly wondering what the species is in the 8th pic from the bottom...the monoculture with finely divided pinnate leaves??

Mild oceanic climate, with coastal exposure.

 

Summer: 12°C (53°F) average min, to 21°C (70°F) average daily max. Up to 40°C (104°F max) rarely.

 

Winter: 6°C (43°F) average min, to 13°C (55°F) average daily max. Down to 0°C (32°F) occasionally, some light frost.

it is some sort of Bactris. Picture doesnt show but mega spiny. I will try to add the Ids.

Many différents places : braullio carillo, around arenal volcano, around tenorio volcano, guanacaste, monteverde, and around manuel Antonio

Calyptrogyne, Asterogyne, welfia regia, euterpe precatoria, socratea exorhiza, iriartea deltoida, crysophilia sp, many Chamaedorea, geonomas
 

in the dry or costal part : attalea butyracea, Bactris, accrocomia, astrocarium standelanyum, Neonicholsonia watsonii
