I did read (John L Dowe ) they use Johannesteijsmannia leaves in the tropics as umbrellas! So a kerriodoxa would do just as good, but I can’t see the home gardener cutting up his prize palms in s as my hurry!

I was out on the side of my house and the light rain turned into a deluge so I ducked under my Pritchardia . A perfect umbrella . It was a brief downpour, as soon as it let up I got inside. The only Keridoxa I have seen in person was in a glass house at the Huntington , could’ve put the whole family under that frond . HarryIMG_3657.thumb.jpeg.8649e65e883115e8192340e033dcf938.jpeg

This one would be for the whole family!
