This palm is at the Bahamas National Trust-the past garden of the Langlois. There were many fabulous and rare species in this garden but time, droughts,  and hurricanes has altered it from it's past glory. I am working with them to do what we can to get back some of that past.

Yesterday I saw this palm and it stumped me. So who better than Palmtalk to help a brother out?! Thanks for the assistance, all.

Yeah I’d agree the tips are subtly praemorse. To me that usually rules out genera with really obviously praemorse tips like Balaka, Drymophloeous etc. although I can’t say I’m all across the less common species from some of those genera. Whenever something fools me for being praemorse when I didn’t initially notice it I think Veitchia. Could it be Veitchia pachyclada?

    Tim, I think the inflorescence is not right for it to be pachyclada.
