Richard, how much stuff! I absolutely have to come and steal it all from you! But thinking about it, it wouldn't make sense, many species are more tropical for my climate.😥

That’s an easy fix to a problem , a holiday home in the subtropical climate, imagine the garden you could have!

I have been trying to get repotting done but the extreme heat lately affects me badly. Today was bearable so a few were done, others just topped up with soil and now there are only a couple of hundred left to go !  I need a potting bench but  have absolutely no space to put one.

Merry Xmas my possum, the more you repot the more you have to water them, and that’s a full time job in this unbearable heat touching the 40s in temperatures!

Ive come to the conclusion we both need a gardener asap! Any suggestions?

The best bit about pots is you can garden anywhere you want too, so why not spruce up the deck! Chuck a few joeys in and a licuala along with a Crysophilla and a rhapis and you have an instant garden!

A nice bit of variegation coming through on the Adonidia. A good sign at a young age, promising sign of things to come, that is if winter doesn’t has its say time will tell!

I keep some palms in pots for a portable garden effect. It is nice to have a few that can be added to an outdoor space like a front porch or under the pergola with the orchids. Change them out occasionally for a fresh look. I keep them under the mature palms in the garden and rotate. Harry

Some nice summer seedlings just perfect for potting up in the warm weather. Now’s the perfect time for those tropical seedlings, heat and humidity certainly help tiny seedlings, I might as we’ll take advantage of the warm weather iam sure winter will be a different story!

Your welcome, you gotta have some time away from palms, the damm things consume a chunk of my time, so a bit camping to get away from it all was needed!

Another rare one from the garden, and the best part is there free, no phyto certificate Cee no postage fee and best off all no customs fees and headache that goes with them. It’s a win win situation for me at least!

How can that be I had some germinate not long ago at latitude 23 how weird, oh hang a minute I had them in the freezer so that must be the trick, how silly of me, I think they will germinate for you then, isn’t your climate the same as a freezer! Or the same as Manitoba! 🤪🤣

He’s telling porky pies gyuseppe, leading us down a path of deception. I actually think he wants to buy your seeds from you. Tell him $50 a seed that will slow down faster than a frosty morning in winter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 @Jonathan

Yes Richard, it's actually cold here now and I'm a bit away from my garden, you did well to take some time off for you and your Jodie, and I was worried, I hadn't seen you write for a few days on the forum, and I had sent you a message,I thought you were in hospital for your hernia

Haha, no I'm not as bad as I seem!

I was just joking with Richard about the germination but the joke might have been lost in translation.

Yes, Jonathan, translators can sometimes play tricks on you! Richard once said, "Never trust a translator," and he was right. Anyway, Jonathan, you're one of my best friends on this forum.

It’s a fun way to garden, and you can always arrange them to your liking on the patio!

Good old Aussie humour, send an Australian overseas and nobody can understand us they say we talk to fast and our slang, well let’s say they never understand that. What I was saying gyuseppe was as Jonathan said lost in translation, or just a bit of teasing for fun it’s an Australian thing, @Jonathan does live in a freezer though and they are a funny bunch them Taswegans. They get up to stuff that us mainlanders would never do, but jokes aside we are all friendly people. I might have to send some craft work beads down to him now to appease the palm gods! Or just sell him some seeds $50 bucks a pop🤣🦘

I made the mistake of getting more pots, I planted most of what I had in the ground, then I had brainstorm why not grow palms.
Now I don’t know how many pots I have, at least I can I leave them out in winter is one bonus I guess!
