Hi everyone. I stumbled upon this strange looking palm on google maps in Malindi, Kenya. Here's the google maps link: Silversand Road - Google Maps. If the link doesn't work, then google map search "The Gilanis Hotel".

Hyphaene something. Hyphaene species grow up and down the Nile Delta. First one I saw, I thought it was some kind of mutant. But as we continued, there were thousands of them,

my guess would be thebiaca or compressa depending upon trunk diameter. Compressa more stout from what I’ve seen/learned

Hmmm. Between H. thebaica,  H. compressa,  and H. dicotoma,  I'm leaning towards the last one.
