Lower fronds dying at a faster rate than normal. Can anything be done to save it? I think it is dying. Some sort of disease.

I would treat the crown and soil for a fungal infection. I lost a Butia that way. Started on the outer leaves and moved to the newest.

I am not sure if you have the red whevil around your area. I say this because it is opening up a lot in the lower part and I am seing some deformed leaves.

If so I would bet, just because the time of the year on a chemical treatment.

In March i would change gears completely to biological on a monthly basis alternating between

1. Nematodes -> to kill the worms

2. Beauveria bassiana -> to kill the adults

3. Metarrizum -> to kill the adults
