Sabal uresana

I have some nice, blue Sabal uresana available for shipping within the US. They are in liners and busting out of the bottom. I have 10 available - some have multiple plants in them and you could separate them if you wish, but i would prefer to ship these potted to avoid bare-rooting at this time of year.

$20 each for these + shipping from Fresno.

Cheers! 🤙🏽

those look like nice blue specimens. I have seen them in habitat in San Carlos and they are ghostly blue. Beautiful palm.  there are hybrids of them at the Fullerton Arboretum in California.

If any of these are still available, I simply would not be able to understand how.

Josue, do you know the source area for these? That blue is really impressive. I bought three from Plant Delights last spring, and they’re starting to send out bluer fronds but they certainly weren’t blue to begin. Probably natural sunlight helps with that.

These are from a really blue one growing in Del Rey (just south of Fresno), and the owner there said seeds came from Mexico, but couldn't tell me where. These all sold out. I had a similar batch last year they sold out pretty quickly too.  I'll try to get pics of the mother plant.

Thank you sir! I would love to see a photo of the mother palm. Looks like some really great genetics. I’ve seen the nearly white ones here in Tx and while those are unique I prefer the blueish to green ones. And that blue of your saplings is the best I’ve seen!

Here is an example here in San Antonio. It produced flowers last year but no viable seed was formed, same story with the uresana at John Fairey Gardens to the northwest of Houston in Pine Island. Following the freeze of 2021 they’ve so far failed to reproduce.

@ChrisA I can confirm the color of Josue picture is true in person! Also Chris if you ever come across seeds from those silver ones where you're at, please let us know!  would love to obtain some and trade for other things you may be interested in
