He has sent me these pictures of " high class" species.

From top to bottom:

Verschaffeltia/ Latania lodigesii/ Carpoxylon/ Cryosophylla/ more Verschaffeltia/ Pelagodoxa/ Pelagodoxa drilling a hole through the roof/ Licualas/ Angiopteris/ Cissus.

He has sent me some seeds too. Does anyone know how to sow Mauritiella seeds?

I have grown Mauritia flexuosa from seed (many years ago) and they're very similar to Maurtiella.  Clean off the fruit (Mauritia fruit is delicious) and soak in water overnight.  I germinated mine in damp sphagnum moss in a baggie with bottom heat.  They're swamp dwellers (or seasonally flooded) in habitat and like lots of water.  Best of luck! 😁

Thanks a lot for the info.

On second thoughts, I guess I am wrong, and this isn't Mauritiella, but Mauritia flexuosa.

I have pealed the seeds. Should I also crack it? or not? I'm afraid the seeds are still inside, right?

Future palm trees on the horizon. It's easy for you. Just round the corner.  Not far away from you.

Customs here, in Europe, are very fussy. Too many rules and regulations. A nuisance in the end.

By the way: do you happen to know which species are the Licualas in the last pic?

I thought those fruits looked like Mauritia flexuosa.  It's possible that there's an outer shell but I think you have gone far enough - that's what my seed looked like when I germinated it.  It would be risky to crack it if there's no shell - you shouldn't have trouble germinating it.

Thank you very much for the info.

I was about to crack the seeds. I'll sow them that way and see what happens.

Oh it’s a nightmare at times to import into Australia. Sometimes it’s easy other times you’re emailing back and forwards, then the phone calls to customs. And the txts to the supply chain if it goes wrong.
You need phytosanitry certificates and one mistake on that paperwork it becomes a headache.
aIt would be easier to fly to the country of origin get seeds and fly back with the correct paperwork.
The licualas look like grandis or pelata sumowongii.
