CRB Monthly Report

West side of Oʻahu, Waiʻanae Valley about 2.5 miles from the ocean.  Elevation about 380ʻ

Only 2 today.  Wonder if itʻs because the lure scent is week after a month?  Nine for the  month of October.

Chart shows history of the 4 traps on the property.   June and July of 24 there were only 2 traps hanging.  Might account for low numbers those months.

Well Weekly Report.

Located 2.5 miles up Waiʻanae, Oʻahu at 380ʻ elevation 4 traps.

Weekly CBR report

Only 3 this week and a total of 5 for the month so far.

For the year 136.

Looking at this and last year seems like the numbers caught go way down from November to April

Thanks for all the useful information.
 

I can’t trap the ox rhino beetle I battle (no pheromones so far) so can’t do the sort of count you are doing.

However on my farm visible attacks slow November to March also.
 

This time of year I get to relax a bit and admire the survivors and hope you can too.

Since I only check the traps on Saturdays the year is over for counting.  I have 4 traps on 2 acres and unfortunatly I have not totaled each trap to see if there are more in one area, but I donʻt think it matters really.

It seems the totals are increasing , or the traps are more efficient . Harry

Or everyone in the neighborhood is trying hard to fight them.

When I replace the pheromone lures in my traps I always see a spike in catches.

I replace mine every three weeks to a month, and put the old lure in the catch water at base of the bucket.

The first two weeks seems to be most productive for sure.

Always see weevils flying around near the buckets in the first two days after changing lures....  might be because I'm checking more often.

Different weevil's obviously.

You have CRB in Calf?

I change the lures on the first Saturday of each month.  I also leave the old one on for another month just incase it has something left.
