I live in Brisbane and recently sold my pride and joy home and tropical garden.

I had a palm that we always referred to as a false coconut palm. Slow growing with wide fan like leaves but similar to a dwarf coconut palm. Would anyone know what it could be, as I’d like to find another one for my new garden.

Based on the photo provided I'd say it's Difficultus identitii.

Thanks for sending me on the right path I now believe it is Beccariophoenix fenestralis

B fenestralis have a little opening at the base of the leaflets where they meet the stem. That is about the only difference between them and alfredii that I have noticed. Very slow growing but tough as old boots.
