I live in Charlottesville Virginia growing zone 7b this is my first coconut palm! It's thrived for me outside all summer and is about to have it's first winter with me. I have a spot prepared for it in my sunroom on a heat mat under a grow light with relatively high humidity around 60-70% average. Fingers crossed I can get this guy through to the next growing season. I'd love to see your potted coconut palms for some inspiration!PXL_20251001_200451859.thumb.jpg.ea55ab8e4f6367bed6c435b264379b50.jpg

Approximately 2 years. It would've been faster if it was in full sun all day though. I planted it in a shady place.

Exactly 2 years apart

(Top one, bottom one died)

I had it potted for 5 months before planting in ground in March IMG_9420.jpeg.b075ada7fa1c4e380ef8a9197b361740.jpeg

Wow that's a serious growth spurt! Did you fertilize it a lot?

Thank you! Yes I fertilize a lot. Maybe every 3 weeks during the more active seasons I mix a little fish emulsion into a canister and pour all over near them. I also mulch very heavily with yard scraps and chicken manure. And I water every day unless it rained
