As far as I remember, you told me once, that this botanical garden grows all kinds of Sabal. So there is a huge possibility, that your plant is a hybrid. I have observed in my similar climate that bermudana coincides in blooming with minor and rosei. Causiarum blooms months later in different season.

This is my Bermudana. Same blooming time with minor as yours. This is first blooming season

These were the first plants I ever successfully germinated from seed without damping off or overcooking them on the heat mat, so they hold a special place in my palm heart.

So familiar the pictures with palms in front and the sea in the background! Could you please post close up pictures of hastula and costa on the leaves and of inflorescence as well?

Yes, Konstantinos blooms when it blooms  minor and the palmetto,  for the causiarum, mine has not flowered yet, even though it is more than 20 years old

John  Sabals are very easy to germinate,  if all species were like that.

It needs another few years, up to 5, and fertile, acidic soil.

If only they grew faster. The best time to plant a palm is 20 years ago!

John, what can I say? I had many species that were lost during my illness, but now I've started sowing again.

If you were closer and shipping wasn't an absolute nightmare, I'd give you one of mine. The ones I've sold have either gone into the ground or 3 gallon pots.

I've still got 5 or 6 in cups but shipping anything inside this country is a nightmare now even without the tariff crap sending it overseas. But if you visit Mississippi, I got you! And we can have fried chicken for dinner and biscuits and gravy for breakfast lol. All the unhealthiest foods are here.

I'm germinating sabal. I've already germinated a good batch of Riverside sabal. I hope to germinate the other varieties very soon.

@gyuseppe and @dalmatiansoap here is my Sabal bermudana. Here is my own Sabal bermudana. Look how short is second order brach in inflorescence (actually it is fully covered by the bracteole. But you can detect easily this second order branch, only when more rachilae than one spread from it. Check yours too!

Nice one and grown  from seed as well, definitely got the germinating bug and it’s a good bug to have germinating palms.
