I can't tell if the palm tree in the photo is jubeopsis caffra or Butia eriospatha.

Can you tell which of the two types this is?

It looks like the seeds are mixed, but it's hard to tell.

(The name tag is Butia, but I'm not sure.)

Thank you very much for showing it. Yes, it is exactly a Jubaeopsis caffra.

Thank you so much for your kind reply!

I'll have to fix palm name tag right away.

The seeds were purchased from Raindance seeds, (2023/10/10)

But the doubt is very strong,

because the seeds themselves did not germinate,

so I really did not pay any attention to them.

So I planted the seed in the soil and forgot about it.
Around early

summer of this year, 2025, I saw this sprout sprouting.

That means it has survived two winters.
(The winters of 2023 and 2024 were quite cold in Korea (Jeju Island),

with temperatures hovering around -7 degrees Celsius for several months.

Still, it's amazing to see these seeds sprouting.

Thank you so much.

If I remember correctly, this variety is the "Golden Form" Pondoland palm.
