A bit of an unknown Caryota in my area that’s for sure. Iam sure there out there in some collection somewhere. But definitely a rare beauty around my parts. I gave this one plenty of space well away from any buildings and so it can be viewed in its full glory in 20 years time!

    Not one I’ve heard of . I love fishtail palms even though they die after flowering . The beauty they bring to the garden is worth it , to me. I saw a large C. Zebrini at the Huntington and it was magnificent , planted in the glass house . I was wondering how it was going to be removed after it flowers. It takes good planning when you plant them . Harry

    Yes that’s why I have located this one far enough away from any structures. The only damage it can do is to the garden underneath it.

    Yes they do large, so plenty of room away from structures. It’s good to learn after a while and experience. A bit of hindsight goes a long way with this palm.
