Wonderful, so many of this lovely family and they look fit and healthy, a rich green. They have a wonderful gardener who cares for and nurtures them.

yes Richard, I live in the suburbs and the walls are a protection against thieves, and also against frost for my plants!

In the garden I should have about ten species, but I had another 30 species in pots, and they all died because I was in the hospital several times and there was no one to water them, but I'm already starting to rebuild my collection, also thanks to friends on this forum who sent me the seeds.

Yes Tom, chamaedorea love my climate and the soil of my garden, the only problem is that in summer you have to water them every day, but for me it's a pleasant pastime to spend time in my garden

Well that’s one way to keep them out. I don’t even lock my doors or windows when I go out, I leave my car keys in the car when iam at home. I live in a very safe area and also on community iconography land with ten other houses on the block safety in numbers. If they want to break in let them do so. Plant a calmus on the brick wall that will stop them climbing the fence.

Richard, just the thought of keeping doors and windows unlocked gives me the shivers. The land on our property belonged to my great-grandfather. We have three houses: one is mine, the other two belong to my brothers. Thieves have come to my brothers' house many times, robbing them.

Thanks my friend Ugo, I started sowing palm trees in the 80s, there was no internet, I went to botanical gardens all over Italy to collect the seeds

You are truly an educated person, and the most knowledgeable person in Italy when it comes to palm botany. I congratulate you. You can also create a new Botanical Garden in Italy.

Yes Ugo, I had all the palms and other plants that I could grow in my city, but as you know during my illness many species were lost, I also made hybrids of phoenix, chamaedorea and cycas

We, the members of this beautiful forum, are already experts. We can germinate and give birth to any type of palm tree. Not just anyone can do it. The knowledge is here with us. This mastery of plants is very beautiful.
