Who doesnt love purple flower buds, these echiums are fantastic in the garden. Grown from seeds purchased on eBay, a great little buy for $4 I think.

Lovely plant, tho can be a weed...after the apocalypse, all that will be left at South Arm is rabbits, Agave americana and pride of Madeira!

Summer: 12°C (53°F) average min, to 21°C (70°F) average daily max. Up to 40°C (104°F max) rarely.

 

Winter: 6°C (43°F) average min, to 13°C (55°F) average daily max. Down to 0°C (32°F) occasionally, some light frost.

Yes I got a few escapes but easy to control.  Do you know what day Armageddon is cause I really need to build that spaceship fast. And take two of every palm with me, a sort of Noah’s ark only a spaceship 🚀

Beautiful plant. Unfortunately looks like they can't take summer heat here. Lost all plants in full sun. Only one potted in shade is still alive.

They like lots of water if in full like you say. The ones I have had trouble in the drought when I planted them, constant watering. Now they are established it’s not to bad on the watering.

Omg I better get building, might have to put the new greenhouse project on hold for a week, actually indefinitely by the sounds of it, won’t be needing it after Thursday I guess. While iam at you can have my entire collection if you can get by next Thursday, but you better hurry!

That’s all you can do, they do like a cool root run, but that’s difficult when they need full sun to look good. So the answer is more water.
