Trachy princeps fungus

Recommended Posts

Trachy princeps, showing presumed fungal inhibition of growth, enlarged basal plate, new side shoot trying to grow. Does anyone have a suggestion for what I can do to free this plant from this pathogen? If suggesting a fungicide, it would be helpful to have specifics if possible, so I have some direction. Western Oregon growing conditions btw. Thanks.

This is something often discussed in german palm forums. A typical sign at the beginning are the small leafs. The side shot is also very typical. Unfortunately most of the plants died because of the fungus.

As above, I've seen it a number of times with regular fortunei & eventual death each time. Treatments are unknown to me.
