They may not look like much at this age, but they certainly will if I can get them into the ground in a few years time. Some rare ones in this bunch! IMG_3022.thumb.jpeg.d95f5268c17001dc9410a57bce2ef8bd.jpeg

Definitely not Peachy. Whilst it is reported to be solitary or clustering, some reports say only solitary specimen have been observed and most if not all photos I’ve seen are of solitary specimen. Add to that it’s likely in the top handful of cool tolerant Pinanga and you may realise why this palm is exciting for cultivation.

Everything I read about them says clumping,  therefore it goes in the Pekingese chew toy box. If someone offers me a single trunked version of a plantable size then I may reconsider.

I dont give my kids Maccas rubbishy toys. I buy them safe toys they can roughhouse with and not hurt their teeth etc.  One of my old Pekes,  a few years ago now, used to round up all his toys at bed time and put them in his corner. My current babies ignore most of the toys and steal my socks and knickers to play with !

Well Macca toys are at least child safe so that’s a good place to start with at least. I used to get the dog toys from vinnies with quite a a lot good old fashioned toys available. AA d that’s one well trained puppy picking up his toys, not even I picked up my toys as a kid (i can still hear my stepping on a Lego brick) And as for the current babies well kids will be kids!

The only problem is they are not mine and have to go back home one day.  All of them have really bonded to me and I think they love me more than my own kids do !  I don't get much sleep under a mountain of snoring,  farting little fluffballs and purring fat cats.

Nice batch there. It’s exciting when you see the first growth , sometimes it takes a while , but those came up pretty fast. Harry

A bit like the grand kids only you want to give them back. And dose them furballs up with a good batch of CBD oil with a hint of THC they sleep well then.

A couple come already germinated in the post so lucky to get them through customs. Although you can bring germinated seedlings it I wouldn’t push customs. Iam still waiting on some of the other rare ones as well in that batch fingers crossed.

That those things are probably fine for grandchildren but my kids sleep like little logs without drugs. Children are the only thing I hate more than clumping palms but for some strange reason one isn't allowed to poison them too.

Kentiopsis piersonorium is a great grow but slow. They do fine down here. A real beauty and you’ve grown a large bunch. Well done.

Even down in Melbourne first winter in an unheated greenhouse it not only coped perfectly but kept growing. Seems like they don’t require a huge amount of warmth to be happy which I guess makes sense based on their habitat.
