Palms are sucking it up.

First day of summer for you means first day of winter for us So Cals. We now have to sweat out six to eight weeks of cold snaps.

In Melbourne, Florida, the rainy season tends to start fairly precisely 3 weeks before the Summer Solstice.  Hope you haven't been kept waiting.

Good to see you are getting rain down there... Actually, you have been getting more rain than us lately. We are in transition at the moment, convection rain has finished (sort of) and monsoon has not quite make it. But... apparently someone predicts that we would be getting 400mm between Christmas & New Years... Now that is wet!!!!! And probably TC sometime after that... Exciting wet times ahead.

Adam, its still raining and its great.  The usual announcement occurred however, the Thomson Dam only got 2mm.
