Transplanting the remainder of the Florida sabal palms into the garden. 🌴

Featured Replies

I decided to go ahead and plant my seed grown sabal palms into the palm garden. I hope they make it. There were too many palm seedlings so I ended up putting some back into the ziplock bag and potted up a palmetto along with some seeds. IMG_5913.thumb.jpeg.9136f57a7594a0e77c96d65ba1e1b391.jpegIMG_5922.thumb.jpeg.5129746972674dcbe798ae191066880a.jpegIMG_5943.thumb.jpeg.5394b26a0324cf2bae00872d07fd5fdb.jpegIMG_5948.thumb.jpeg.d18d03d1982d47f74c679d8ee25f2e45.jpegIMG_5949.thumb.jpeg.a13202dd0b8cb33495af5aef3c5f8dd1.jpegIMG_5941.thumb.jpeg.40d3602bbfc1dffef0a7b0b9f158de7f.jpeg

I have soooo many community potted sprouts right now. And I've only got one Palmetto to sprout so far. Maybe we can trade some when mine get bigger. I've got about 40,000 Mexicanas and Louisiana sprouts, and the Minors are starting to sprout.

That's a lot of pots for the price. I use Solo cups and slice a ton of holes in them with a box cutter and then open them up with a screwdriver. We're a very high tech high dollar operation down here.

They're kinda small right now, but I have some Bermudana in the For Sale thread that are ready for the ground. Maybe we can work something out, because I have TONS of Mexicana and Louisiana sprouts.

Place a stack of Solo cups upside down and drill a hole through the bottom of the stack. It’s faster. :)

I had this really sharp screwdriver and I really enjoyed the stabbing and the popping noise when I slid it out. This hobby does make me miss my Dremel a lot though.
