Ok so you got some compost. What was it supposed to be?

Hyophorbe verschaffeltii (spindle palm).  Zone 10 compost.  I might try seeds next time instead.

I know it'd be faster in the ground, but I dunno how patient you are - I bought Spindly Bob 4 years ago or so and I'm sure you've seen my 11,000 pics of him on here. I got him from Snyder and Sons off Etsy for like $20, but they haven't had any palms at all in probably 2 years. They're all into grafted fruit trees now.

You said it!  The seedlings arrived today dead as a doornail.  It took 56 hours to go the final 45 miles!  It's probably more the seller's fault though - the roots were wrapped in sopping wet paper towel and put inside a ziplock bag.  Now I need to figure out how to make my first eBay refund claim!  🙄

USPS won't pay out insurance because they did their job...it was delivered.  eBay's buyer protection should get you a refund.

Scott this is unrelated, but the plants I bought from you a couple years ago are doing awesome. The cycad is still pushing just one frond at a time but it's doing all kinds of really cool bendy stuff, and I can attest that Pembana make excellent houseplants if you give them light and water.

Yeah I figured USPS wouldn't do anything but I think it was more the seller's fault anyway.  I was advised to try and contact the seller first.  I made the purchase as a guest but I had to create an account in order to do that!  😣  I sent her a message yesterday with photos but haven't heard anything back yet.
