Potted Bismarckia Help

The new growth is coming out deformed in my bizzie. Not sure what can be happening but the new grow is producing shorter petioles and damaged leaves. Could this be a deficiency of some sort?

Thanks in advance : )

I don't have any answers for you, but how does it do in a pot - other than this? This is one of my bucket list palms and it's got zero chance of survival in the ground here. Can you post a pic of the whole palm?

I’ve had it since 2022. It’s done really well for me. I keep it in the heated greenhouse in the winter and it has grown moderately.

This didn’t start appearing until June. It’s been in a heated greenhouse over the winter and wasn’t subjected to any temperatures that would cause damage.

I think it's just a bit of rot that it seems to be pushing past.  Maybe from water in the crown at the wrong time.  I see a bit of discoloration on the frond to the right in the photo that was probably just about to open when the problem started.  The badly colored spear will open up next and it'll likely be slightly deformed but the newest spear looks like it may open normal.  You might want to spray some hydrogen peroxide on it but it looks to me like it's already grown past it.  I had an in-ground Bismarckia spear-pull this past winter and it quickly recovered pushing out a deformed frond first then back to normal.  :)

The shorter petioles are likely due to increased sun exposure.
