The International Palm Society is pleased to announce registration is now open for our 33rd biennial. Vietnam: Hanoi to Da Nang, February 23 -March 3, 2026. Tour led by Dr. Andrew Henderson, author of the Palms of Vietnam
 

This will be followed by an optional post tour in Peninsular Thailand March 3 - March 9, 2026 led by Dr. Anders Barfod and Poonsak. (Note availability limited).

I don’t recall any previous Biennials where 70 percent of the available spaces sold out so quickly.

The International Palm Society is aware that not all spouses are palm-obsessed which is another reason we choose fabulous hotels and great food (as we have for the Vietnam biennial). 
 

We are pleased to announce that the IPS has added an optional cultural afternoon in Hue.  At no additional cost, interested members are invited to visit the Forbidden Purple City (a UNESCO world heritage site) constructed under the Emperor Gia Long in 1804. Included will be a tour of the royal, walled, Imperial City and a dragon boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the historic Thiên Mu Pagoda (1601).
