Wasingtonia robusta in Florida

Featured Replies

Hello,

I had a 25 gallon robusta delivered today from a local nursery. When I purchased the palm it had a full crown of fronds. At delivery, the removed all but two. I was extremely missed off and wanted to know why. They said thos was industry practice. It is for field dug sabals but not robustas. Anyway, they planted it (I only paid $150). My question, this should flush out pretty quickly since robustas are quick growers. Anything I should do in the meantime? Our growing season here is typically Feb-late November.  Thanks for any advice!

That tree is WAY bigger than a standard 25 gallon ever would be if grown in the pot. It probably was field grown and recently dug and potted into the 25 gallon pot. It should recover quickly, regardless.
