Just a spot of potting up some joeys again and a few chamearops humillis

More joeys and a few humillis some tough old palms in this bunch. The only thing I can fault about joeys is that they need water and more water, and sometimes they just up and die for no real reason that I can figure out. But as for the humillis Iam pretty confident they are bulletproof, and cool tolerant. So another batch of palms for the collection that’s looking like a never ending story!

When I go to the botanical garden in Naples, I always come back with a bag full of seeds.

As long as they germinate you’re onto a good thing!

They all germinate because they're fresh seeds.
I'm happy they're germinating, but there's more work to do—taking care of them, pruning them, watering them—but it's a good way to stay active and avoid a sedentary lifestyle, like some people who watch TV from morning to night.

Palms get you outside into enjoying life. Yes a tousand seeds is a lot of work. I did 2000 joeys and 1000 Kerriodoxa lots of work and money to do so.

If you can find one give it a go growing one. But they are exspensive and I would think so in Europe!

My little Joey that I bought from you the year before last is still going stong, the cold nights don't bother him at all. He is no rocket at this stage but his little fronds are 3 times the size they were when he arrived.  I am making a few tall and narrow pots for all the things in the extra tall forestry tubes. All the pots of the needed height are far to wide for my rare treasures.

Great news glad she is growing well. When my dear old grandmother was with us I would give her palms, and she would garden them with her style and fashion of container growing. Every time I visited I would look at them thinking that they are growing bigger and stronger than the ones I had at home. I observed her method since I was child, and her technique was just love them but not over fuss them less was best for nan, but love was her trick, I guess you my dear peachy possum must have the same green thumbs. And I miss my nan I loved her so much she was my second mum always asking what I wanted for breakfast just toast and tea nan was my answer are you sure she would say fussing over me!
