IMG_3825.thumb.jpeg.3a068b0c6a1e5be92f53011d1d7e63a9.jpegI grow lots of plants (by the way I’m a teen still living in my parents house) I love fruits, palms, yuccas, agaves and many more plants it’s maybe been two years since I’ve gotten into growing stuff. My first tree was a cocoa tree and I still have it from seed 3 almost four years old! It is taller than me and looking awesome hopefully flowering soon. Well I grow indoors outdoors (zone 7b) and in my greenhouse. I’ve had many indoor palms for about a year but I’ve just started on my hardy palms collection thanks to this forum! So far I have two windmill palms, three jelly palms, one Mediterranean fan palm and one sabal minor. And yes I’m protecting every one of those except the minor. My palms I’m growing indoors are açaí,  flamethrower palms, Chinese fan palms, sabal palmettos, queen palms, Christmas palms and a royal palm. Most grown from seed and are still small.I don’t listen to what people say I can’t grow indoors or in pots I just try and see if it works. And so far my sabals and my royal palm are doing great indoors. I’ve got some other palms too but those are some. Thank you for reading and I hope your palms survive this winter! Here are some pictures.

I think you can I’m going to try! I have a plant already but I haven’t planted it in the ground I’ve seen people growing it in 7a so it’s definitely possible especially with the right variety.

Small Bactris species do well in pots and I'm pretty sure they can stay long term in a pot and even fruit. Here's a Bactris major for example.

You absolutely can grow indoors. Honestly though I'm starting to think it's a lot harder than growing outdoors. Indoors you have to worry about balancing light, temperature, humidity, there's more possibilities of pests, watering schedules are really tricky on over watering vs under watering.... Most of what I've got in here right now would either fry in the heat or die in the cold here though since we get single digit winters and triple digit summers. There might be some useful info in that first thread on what does and doesn't work 😂
