My progress from when I started in 2021

I started this addiction of mine during covid and I'm hooked, still planting away even though I dont have the space so I cut away concrete to make more land. My wife thinks I'm nuts but supports my alot better habit compared to others out there.

Beautiful, I started my palm nursery due to Covid! I bet the wife doesn’t think you’re nuts now.

Going ALL IN, I love it.

It looks like a lot of us got started during COVID.... Me too.

It really looks lovely now, well done.  I would love to plant out the area between the kerb and the footpath too but my council is piggy about anything remotely sensible.  I moved house during the lock downs and had to start a garden too,  not always easy when you aren't allowed to go anywhere to buy plants etc.

Really nice garden for a relatively short period of time . For most palms , it takes about 3 years for noticeable growth . During the pandemic I was so busy at work I had very little time in my garden . I was cycling a lot and working away. One of my big accounts contacted me , as the shut down here was happening , to see if I was working. I had made all the tooling for them , not knowing the end user. It turns out they were for a company that made ventilators . They tripled production so they needed 3 sets of tooling running at all times so I had the dull tools to maintain as well as making new ones, not much time for palms. Harry

Heck yeah!!! That's around the time I started getting serious about my landscaping redo, and it was hard to see the vision when they were small dudes... but it's totally worth the wait.

I also love all the COLOR you're mixing in, and the layering was well-planned out. Great job!

I recognize most of them, but can you confirm ID on the following palms?
Photo #1 - Palms on far left & far right.
Photo #2 - Both of the taller palms
Photo #3 - Large Palm to the right/front of the BBQ.

Loving life is a blessing not an addiction.
Your garden looks fantastic, love the mix of heights and colors, and the overall diversity of plants. It’s nice to see people taking advantage of all the outdoor space they have even if it’s not massive. My front yard would be a jungle too if only I was allowed to (hoa 🙄).

I like that you incorporate the hardscape in addition to the plants. Sometimes I see palms just in the dirt and I am wishing to see more. I like that you used variation in the hardscape too, it's part of the natural artwork you've established.

Love it!

Yes they look so small when they're 1-5g's. Couldn't wait til they get some size. The first pic is scary what I have out there that you can't see in the photo in just that strip of the parkway. So what you can see is prestoniana,  lutescens, k. Oliviformis,  roystonea regia,  Archontophoenix myloensis,  kentia, allagoptera caudescens,  and unknown hybrid. I want to say it's a pembana x triangle or with madagascarensis or cabadae. Who knows but its a fast one for sure. So what also have out there that can't be seen is, Pritchardia Hillebrandii,  P. Perlmanii,  Chambeyronia watermelon, Chamaerops Cerifera, Cocothrinax Fragrans,  C. Barbadensis,  C. Argentea, C. Miraguama,  C. Proctorii,  C. Spissa, Chrysalidocarpus Cabadae, Pembana,  Mahajanga,  Saintlucei,  Plumosa, Carlsmithii,  Ravanea Glauca, Krociana, Xerophillia, Veitchia  Hybrid,  Burretiokentia Hapala, Gaussia Maya, Attenuata, Pseudophoenix sargentii, Jubaeopsis Caffra,  Beccariophoenix Alfredii.  Too many i know and I figure I'll be dead by the time there is a problem with these and some are on smaller size like seedlings some are larger.

Second  Pic is left Veitchia Arecina and Variegated FoxyLady on right

Third Pic is Chrysalidocarpus Madagascariensis in front right of pond. It does look like a BBQ pit or a jacuzzi 🤣

Yes that is a foxtail. One of my first palms about 12 years ago when I didn't even know I was into palms. Only if I was deep into back then I would have a mature garden.

That’s a fantastic collection. It’s already amazing, and will only get better. 🥰
