Planting a few kerriodoxas and Livistona sustralis dypisis baronii

Some pioneer palms for the new garden, they will help in creating a microclimate, planting them along with a few trees will help to start a canopy. And also break up the harder more difficult areas to garden in, once the ground has shade in my climate it completely changes, more moisture means better growing conditions. You just have to make that start with new plants sooner or later!

I'm really starting to enjoy everything with ruffles in the fronds. I think I'm gonna sell off a kidney and turn this spare room into an indoor greenhouse.

I can relate to that. Just build a mega hothouse fully set up with an artificial climate, computer controlled all bells and whistles and more. Then import a stack of palms after. Oh and then move into the hothouse!

That's after I find the rich nurse to take care of me and Sancho.

I don't think I have the patience to go commercial, I just want to listen to the wind rustling fronds again. I've at least evolved a little bit from this grow bulb in a floor lamp..Message_1620085105511.jpg.02b05f2e5201a8e307bd9be1f2c96cb9.thumb.jpg.c552dac8401e43cb106a03b3629a5d23.jpg

My question is does she have to be rich! I have hundreds of plants, a huge garden, yet I have no plants indoors, I like to keep them separate from inside and they can stay outside!

Not necessarily a billionaire, but it's been over a year since I've been able to work, i can't remember the last time I bought new clothes, Sancho is on prescription food for stones in his puppy weiner...

I dunno though, I see a lot of people on here who don't do houseplants. I like the energy they give off. Plus it was cool to be able to say I had plants from 5 continents growing in a tiny apartment in Texas. And I can look at them while I watch TV, in the air conditioning. It's a win.

When we take on a pet it’s for life they can’t talk so it’s up to us to look after them, and by doing so it’s a great thing to be able to do that, pets are unconditional love beings. Anyone in my eyes who cares for there animals are a great human being and a great soled person! And there is nothing wrong with hand me down clothes or opportunity shops for some dam good clothes to be found , and the money goes to charity so it a win win situation for those less fortunate than ourselves. And having 5 continents in your appartment is great I would be worried if it was seven continents, and be wondering what palm you got from Antarctica!

Best $80 I ever spent right here.

Anyway I don't think I've had any palms from Europe. Someone sent me seedlings of a Sabal from Italy, which I thought was awesome. Cats got them. 🙄 I need a big Chamerops to put in the front yard.

You can’t put a price on love! But you can stop giving him those salty treats to stop the crystals building up the poor fella having a blocked pee pee! I bet sancho puts one over them cats?

I try to watch his diet because he's a chunky little SOB, but Mom... Jesus... She'll feed him 4 or 5 treats at a time "because they're little." He's little, too and he weighs 20 pounds and he's got knee problems now... He's mostly indifferent towards the cats, but if a boy cat decides he wants to try to make some kittens, Sancho breaks it up. Good boy, we have enough kittens.

He’s been listening to you talk about them cats, I will fix em he says watch this dad next they go at it there numbers are up. Yes it’s the treats that do them in, vets love them they see a spa or a pool gor every treat that is given out. Those clever marketing tactics!

Welp, I kinda started it with chicken. I would boil chicken breasts for him and I just gave him roughly 1/3 of a chicken breast as a meal and apparently that's a lot of calories for a little dog. They don't come with instructions. But he's got a pretty good life for a stray that was picked up off the streets. He's peed on lots of trees in a few states. And he went from being this scared timid dog to this cool guy that does his own thing. 20240715_230743.thumb.jpg.1244c8af48314d03c0b9ec28005417f1.jpg

Now we live in the country, and he can poop anywhere he wants. Middle of the street? Plop. End of the driveway? Splat. Under a tree? Middle of a wide open field? Bombs away!
