I see Trachycarpus near the road. Have your other palms survived the recent, cold, Texas winters ?

Yes, many palms survived the consecutive 4 winters with extreme low temps.

Tony's area gets humid but not nearly as much as here along the Texas coast.  The drier air seems to affect the intensity of color.  I've got an armata as well but it's never going to look as blue/silver as his or any west of him!
