The original Joey i purchased 23 years ago got a bit of attention in the way of potting up. This palm has been through thick and thin in the grow department taking all sorts of conditions over the years mostly grower neglect. But shes still standing by me and growing stronger than ever now my attention is back on my palms.

Good job on that one . She looks very nice . I think for these to thrive and grow at a better pace it would take a hot humid rain forest . Otherwise someone like you with patience of a saint. Harry

There not the fastest palm in the shed that’s for sure. Slower than a cop leaving the donut 🍩 shop. I like the slow growing palms it gives me more time to work them when you have a lot of them. I once saw a large greenhouse full of rhapis back in the day on a mates property when I was younger back when they where fetching good dollars, he said one day I will make good money, if only he had Johannesteijsmannia in those pots he would be sitting on fortune now, hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Love these. I really like the diamond joey but I am absolutely terrified at the thought of having to throw a $400 palm in the dumpster. It was hard enough tossing out the Pritchardia Pacifica.

You could always win lotto I guess and buy my entire stock of joeys and be in Joey heaven. Until then we are allowed to dream!
