National zoo Washington DC

Earlier today I took a trip to the national zoo in Washington DC and here are some of the pictures of plants and stuff I found

The Mediterranean Fans look surprisingly good for DC.

Yeah they do, I don't know if they were out all winter but if they were they look pretty good!

Is the zoo in USDA zone 9a, approximately?

Thanks. No actually the zoo is a solid zone 7b Probably with some 8A microclimates most of the stuff they planted are annuals there
