A couple of nice concinna that will get planted out in the garden. Germinated these ones from local seed collected. Easy to grow and easy to look at.

They are doing well there. I’m sure they will love your garden . I love when young palms progressively push larger fronds every step of the way. To me it generally means a moderately fast grower. Harry

As seedlings they are completely different to mature palms. I show people baby palms oh that’s cute they say. Then i point out the mature specimens and they are amazed at the difference, how come they say. I say it’s just like us a baby’s in comparison to us as adults totally different looking.

Some seedlings or small palms push new fronds that are only slightly larger than previous fronds , like Howea . Others progressively push much larger fronds , Archontophoenix , some Dypsis . The former seem to take a few years before they get pinnate or palmate leaf shape . Harry

Another thing I like about baby palms is you can get a giant palm from such a tiny seed and seedling only a small strap leaf seedling turning into a giant.
