Hawaii is a big place with numerous islands and climates. I can not seem to find information on your surf temp.'s.Wave information is no problem. Can anyone chime in on your Ocean temperatures in respective locations?

Is this question too difficult for you Hawaians to answer or is it viewed as a Zen like proverb?

From my trips to Hawaii I can say with confidence that the ocean temp is "Wahm".

Matt,"Wahrm" is a relative term. That relativity is what I was attempting to define. As an example,Santa Monica surf temperature is approximately 57F. according to my best source. That to Southern Floridians is "cold".I thought it would be interesting to see what "surf temp" was in Hawaii. Larry's post gave me that information.Hawaii's average "surf temp"is 75F.-79F.as we speak. Our "surf temp."is currently 79F.To me,it is a little bit surprising that "surf temp"here is similar if not "warhmer"than Hawaii. This is obviously the effect of the Gulfstream. To me that is interesting.

The water here is colder than Fla and warmer than Calf.

Because of the deep ocean depths not far off shore our surf never gets as warm as in Fla even with the stronger sun beating down on it.

But let me tell you that when I come in just as the sun is setting and the wind is blowing in Dec/Jan it is COLD on shore    :D
