Northern Most Pygmy Date Palm on the East Coast?

While visiting Harbor Island, SC almost two years ago, I submitted photos of some of the more "exotic" palms I found on the island (I.E. - real zone pushers like queen palms).  I recall seeing what appeared to be the dead truck of a pygmy date palm and thought to myself that Harbor Island is perhaps just a bit too far north for long term survival.  So, I was pleasantly surprised when I recently returned to the island and noticed that the supposed dead pygmy date I saw almost two years ago was in fact alive!  I've seen the thread about the pygmy date in Myrtle Beach, and I would love to know if it has survived.  I've heard of a few pygmy date palms in Charleston, but I haven't seen any in person or any photos.  And I've seen a few healthy-looking pygmy dates on Hilton Head.    But Harbor Island is another 25 miles or so north of Hilton Head (and in winter cold snaps probably a degree or two colder).  So, my question is where on the East Coast can you plant a pygmy date palm and be relatively sure of its long-term survival?

Long term survival , I would say central Florida . Maybe NE Florida but that's really pushing it. They can handle some brief cold  temperatures in the mid to low 20s but get severely damaged in the low 20s , some won't even make it.

I also want to add that low 20s will most kill the palm. Some may survive if they have good genes but I wouldn't bet my money on it.  I wouldn't plant one where temperatures fall below let's say 26°F .

I was thinking somewhere in north Florida as well for long term survival.  But like most of us, I like to zone push!  Does anyone know if there are any pygmy dates older than a year or two north of the one that I found on Harbor Island?  Charleston?  Myrtle Beach?  Or just south of Harbor on Hilton Head?
