I wanted it to rain. And we got that alright 150mm in a matter of 4 hours, going to town then returning home only to be flooded out. So time to couch surf for the night.

We had once been on the island of Sicily. It had been raining for days and many roads were flooded. My father-in-law probably thought he had a submarine and drove into the water. He needed some money to get a new engine for his BMW. But luckily the insurance company paid him back.

How long did you have to wait to get home again?

Greetings Eckhard

I was in Houston for Hurricane Harvey. Ugh. Fortunately there was an open supermarket, but the only trucks that could run were the pork truck and the import beer truck - we put the charcoal grill at the edge of the garage, and we lived off of ribs and Heineken for about a week. I guess it coulda been worse.
