Do you protect those? Where I live in Atlanta, they're good for 6 or 7 years before a dieback. I think they're safe in Augusta.

no more protection applied for the last 4 years. before that only with fleece

Yes, Harry, it really is very robust 

when I think of it, it was also from the gardener's compost back then. barely 0.4 m high and wide and now 1.5 m high and 

about 2m wide

@Mazat what’s that in Anglish units? Just kidding. That is very beautiful! They grow in that pot ok in the winter?

They are only surrounded by wooden frames, so no pot in that sense.
