ideas for plants next to my palm

Featured Replies

ignore that it looks rough rn. it got damaged from our lawn people but it’s recovering now. but anyways i was thinking of planting rhododendrons next to it or behind it (ones that stay smaller) and i was also thinking of some of the grasses. but does anyone have any ideas for plants that aren’t tropical? i’m in south jersey 7bIMG_6521.thumb.jpeg.a9e391250f452499213a851ad7eb042b.jpeg

Wax Myrtle. Trim it to 2-4 stems as it grows to a 10-ft tree.

These are great suggestions.  Rhododendrons can get large and could outgrow the palm.  I would plant an azalea instead of a rhododendron.  There are so many varieties of the Encore azalea that bloom throughout spring/summer/early fall.
