A vis to the gardens today for an afternoon walk. Always looking at the palms and trying to find ones I have not seen before. A nice group planting of some normanbya. With a few of the more common and unusual characters in the garden. Iam not sure what they will do with the pelagodoxa in a few years time. And I might have to keep an eye on the crysophilla palm that’s flowering and see Rick the curator about them.

The Cryosophila is now C stauracantha. Great genus. Tempted to try them here, especially C nana which seems impossible to find.

They never stop changing the names do they I just stick with what’s easiest to spell. They are a lovely genus of palms and a bit rare as well. You would have warscewiczii already dont you.
