also today we saw the one Trachycarpus fortunei is about to flower.

Must be the time of year , mine is flowering too. Second or third year for mine . Your Trachycarpus looks very well cared for. Harry

yes, that must be it.

it's been raining on and off here since last Saturday, which is good. But the drop in temperature was big. Around 28 degrees Celsius on Friday and currently 9.3 degrees Celsius in the community garden today.

the rain is good for the plants and for us too 😄

Nice picture.  Need to take a current picture of my two males. You need to check the colour of the flowers.  Male are flowering yellow while females are green.

Definately a female, the male flowers are just like Palmensammler mentioned less green and more yellow.  Also the male flowers are a bit wider.
