How do you feel about Coconut Husk and Pine Bark in soil mixes for potted palms?

I'm curious if pine bark and coconut husk are ok PH wise for palms?

Thanks!

Palms seem to like coco coir which is made from coconut husk fibers.  I would assume mixing it with pine bark would work well.  I'm experimenting with mixing bark with coir from fibers on the trunk of my Livistona chinensis.  So far so good but still too early to say for sure.

For a couple seasons I had so much mulch in the mix that they nearly bare-rooted themselves when it was time to upsize. From experience, Sabals, Butia, mules, and Washingtonia don't stop growing no matter how much is in there.  On the flip side, my 2 fastest growing Sabals were in straight potting soil (Kellogg) and they were rockets for 2 years.
