Beautiful images, all! Not technically my deck, but rather a park bench up at the top of the hill that I can enjoy coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the afternoon.

Love it Harry now that’s a place to relax and unwind with the wife I like it. With a view like that you only need a few palm silhouettes to get the most out of it, while not blocking such a fantastic view.

My porch view is currently really chaotic, but it makes me happy because a lot of my plants will FINALLY get to go in the ground (this is just one of the areas under development).

In my mind I see the final result... so it's beautiful to me.

Nice one Stacey, there’s always room for improvement, but I do want to see that final result in your mind with a photo shop picture please 😂

Oh, if we can include Photoshop it looks MUCH better!

I've made changes since this version, but this is close to what I see in my mind...

You have been very busy that’s a garden make over just like the better homes and gardens television show the contractors have been busy. What a fantastic design I love it now all you have to do is get onto @DoomsDave and get a few palms from him I hear he has the goodies that will suit your flare in garden design. You certainly have the feel for garden designs. I look at a lot of garden pictures on palm talk and see some great ideas, there are a lot great garden designs out there, and palms certainly are the chorus line in a great designed garden. Keep up the great garden designs I love your work.🌱

Nice one tim that’s one palm I don’t have in the collection, I just got sidetracked on the other palms, but an obtainable palm so iam in no hurry. Great thermal mass from that brick wall, you certainly have a good view all you need now is a Joey to top off that view.

Nothing fancy architecturally, but a view of some nice palms. Rainy day June 2024.

Edit: Sorry, I don't know why the video is so glitchy.

Stunningly beautiful! Not meaning to take off topic, but what name were the Alcanterea broms bought under? I’ve been searching for “merlot” forever, but am curious if they might be hiding under a different name. I love the variety in color and form in your garden. 😊

Hi Stacey, in NZ those broms (or very similar at least) are sold as Alcanatarea imperialism 'rubra', might be worth a try searching for that?

Hi Kim absolutely stunning. Now my next question is what is the palm with the coloured new leaf? Gorgeous and stunning.🌱

Thank you. 😊 Those are Alcantarea imperialis 'Julieta,' a hybrid by David Fell. It is named after the wife of one of his employees. He was going to name it after the employee, but the employee said, no, his name wasn't special; his wife's name would be better. I used to buy plants from her at the local farmer's market.

Thank you. 😊 There are 3 Lemurophoenix halleuxii in the video; the furthest on the right has the new leaf, the middle one is showing off the colorful trunk, and the 3rd on the left is doing neither of those things. 😉 These are some treasured palms that survived the volcanic eruption in my neighborhood in 2018. Happily they survived .. barely. Doing very well now.

Thank you I have heard of them. But i certainly didn’t realise there beauty until seeing your ones. Now iam of to try and find one or two but I don’t like my chances in Australia. Growers in Australia have been trying to get seeds. Curse customs and there new import laws making it even harder to source rare seeds. Thanks for sharing your ones I can dream about them now.

I like it Jim. It’s great to see the lifestyle pictures that fellow palm talkers are living in. Sharing there backyards or front yards with such lovely gardens that are just not possible to see unless invited too. A garden is a reflection of character of the person behind that garden, it’s a great insight into a person’s personality in there garden. Thanks for sharing that insight.
