Anyone please, Phoenix Canariensis yellowing frond from the stem base outwards

Regards everyone, sorry for bothering, i have Phoenix C. Palm in my living room since 2018 since she was barely 1 meter high. It is facing NE window, Central Europe. It was, for me, the most resilient plant in my collection, never ever had a single problem with it, till this morning when i woke up with the lowest, oldest frond beginning to yellow, from top downwards , and from within stem, outwards. Usually fronds yellow from outwards towards the stem, and I'm used to it, lost 4,5 fronds for those 7 years but got 10,12 new ones, long, firm, fat, sturdy fronds and everything was milk and honey till this unusual yellowing that got me really disturbed. I water it the same for 7 yrs, wait for soil to almost completely dry out during winter and early spring, to almost everyday watering during July and August, when it's about 35 to 40 Celsius and pot dries out very fast.

The only difference is that yesterday, i used maybe too old water, if that's possible, i guess it is since nothing else gets on my mind that was different from my Phoenix routine. Water was sitting for month in a 2 gallons bottle. But i remember using even older water and had no problems, but only few times.

It may be my fault since it wasn't ready for watering yesterday, still had some moist and weight in pot, but i poured maybe half a liter of water, trying to water it before the cold that is forecasted, it's gonna be 10 Celsius the whole next week and heating season is over, so i hurried up a little with water. Since i never ever had an issue with it, under, over, its all good for her, till this morning. Maybe it was some bacteria in water, or fungus, the soil does not have a foul odor, but what i see to my eye looks like a sort of big problem. This is my third Phoenix C., i killed 2 in my rookie year 2015, so for all of you with those epic garden specimens like in Florida, where i fell in love in palms while living in MIA for 3 years, this might be just another day in the office. For me it's a beginning of a horror movie.

For expert gardeners and owners of dosens of Phoenixes on their corps, this little problem of mine seems funny, since it's only 4 inches affected, but it looks so awkward and nasty that i have no peace at all, you prolly know that feeling, the only thing on my mind is how to stop the problem asap, and i weep for all the help and info experienced gardeners may have. For the plants that i lost more than couple of times, i know exactly what and how they want it, and how theirs sickness or any problems looks like. Never had overwatered Phoenix C. so i can't claim.

This is a new problem that I'm unfamiliar with, some experts may know what it is from one glance look at the plant. I hope it's just a single overwatering, without root rot, or eventual diseases, i don't see any invaders, mites or aphides, since everything was perfect till this morning when i noticed yellowing of the lowest, oldest frond. Palm is so big, and vigorous that it is touching the ceiling. I have about 12 fronds, 2 meters long, and 3 new spikes, telling me that it was doing pretty fine, or at least i thought so.

Any ides what this discolouration might be, on a first look, it probably is overwatering since i watered it few days before the schedule. I feed it with 20 20 20 plus Me, Mg, Fe few weeks ago, no fertilisation during winter. No signs of any problem during whole winter, nor after feeding it.

As I was writing it got dark so sorry for the photos, tomorrow I'll make brighter ones, but you can see the whole problem on a first picture. And sorry for the mess of old fronds not being cut away. It was supposed to be cut during transplant which is planned for this spring, just waiting for temperature to stop dropping under 18 Celsius. Other fronds are relatively ok, not lush and bloomy like the ones in MIA, but 3 new spikes were telling me she was doing pretty fine.

Sorry for the long words but my worries are getting immense. I developed mothers instinct for all my plants.

Thank you in advance, please..

Just a couple of words, i understand nobody has time for other people problems.

Kudos,

Bojan
