Planted a dypsis saintlucei ptychosperma macarthurii

Two nice alms worth growing especially the saintlucei. The MacArthurii  is a common palm yet I never got around to planting one in the collection years ago time to do so now I think. Any palms I plant now with winter approaching are proven winners so they will just have to tough it out survival of the fittest I guess makes for a better garden in the end.

MacArthurii don’t make it in my garden , although I only tried once. It did well at my old house while it was in the green house but when I planted it up here it quickly died. Yours looks great! Harry

You used to see them in local nurseries, but the chain stores closed them down. So that was the end of any chance of something half unusual back then. They are a bit tender in cold conditions, how quick can we kill a palm pretty well much in one night given the right winter conditions.
