I sold these palms to a man in Moore Haven Fl  maybe 15 to 20 yrs ago. They have done pretty well even after all the hurricanes they have seen.

Magnificent, I love that you visit them to check up. The Alexandrae that I have is much more robust ( thicker trunk and larger fronds) than my Cunninghamiana . Those in the photo look unscathed ….like nothing happened. Harry

mine have seen 2 hurricanes, the second one at gusts to 110mph.  They do recover quickly.   Those in the pic are gorgeous!

Mine has seen 90mph plus with no damage . Not a hurricane with rain etc but hot , dry offshore winds up on our hill. They are very wind tolerant like my Howea F. Harryimage.thumb.jpg.afc0d50dc55479b926e481f478af5295.jpg

Center of photo with bottle shaped trunk base. Sold as a “King Oalm” at Home Depot! Dark green with conspicuous silver underside.image.thumb.jpg.542eaebe0f33698f3e46e99fe3375565.jpg

A comparison with my 10 1/2 size row boat!
