I have been in Barcelona for quite some time and thought I’ll share some of the palms that are growing wild here.

Phoenix canariensis has to be the most common palm you’ll find growing in the wild, despite not being native.

You’ll also come across Chamaerops humilis, which is actually native, they just happen to be less common than CIDPs. I saw this little guy yesterday in the woods.

And Washingtonia is another wild palm you’ll find here. Obviously not native. But saw these in a field yesterday as well. I have no clue why the first ones look so terrible.

Wild Chamaerops growing in a clift. There were even some naturalized Washingtonia and Phoenix that were growing next to them
