Hello,

I believe this (pictured) is a brahea clara.

It appears to have a disease, and I'm checking if anyone can identify this issue?

The fronds have been dying off prematurely, and now I notice that one of the newest fronds coming out of the crown is partially dead.

I have attached pictures to show the nature of the fronds premature dying and the new frond that is partially dead.

I think this issue has spread to adjacent clara and armata palms.

Over the prior year, when just the older fronds were prematurely dying, I did try to correct that issue with a palm fertilizer, but it had no impact in approving the frond die off.

Thank you,

Steve M

Hope others come to suggest what it might have. As a guess I would say fusarium judging by the half dead fronds. But this is a fatal, and obviously extreme diagnosis that hopefully isn’t correct.
