Refratometer or ec pen. I use a ec meter on a daily basis to check ec in blueberry crops.

Can you please describe the whole procedure of measuring? Do you use as solvent distilled water?

Yes you can mix your soil with distilled water and measure that or a probe into the soil. It depends on what type of ec meter you buy, there are various types available on the market. Pretty easy stuff to do, basic understanding is the best way to go about it the more complex you get the more complicated it becomes. Once you into the laboratories then it’s a different ball game. Basic science is a lot easier to understand than rocket science. Just buy a standard meter no need for a $700 one. EC PH readings varie under different conditions so clean equipment is the go. Remember a little fertiliser goes a long way dont try and force feed plants especially palms.
