I was gifted some fruit of a spineless Bactris gasipaes so I had hopes of seed. 

Alas no seed, so decided to boil them up with a little salt for about an hour. 
 

Delicious fragrance of corn while cooking!
 

After enjoying a sample as an appetizer, I sliced one into small pieces and added it to my usual whatever I have to top a salad dinner. 
 

Delicious combination of corn and potato taste to me!

I am wondering if the lack of seeds is commonly associated with the spineless cultivar? 
 

Any information on sourcing the spineless Bactris gasipaes much appreciated as well as comments from those who have tasted this fruit.

I can’t say I have tasted bactris fruit. But I do have one spiney little devil that will get  you when you walk near it. No fruit yet but it’s about 24 years old and iam looking forward to seeing it set seeds one day.

I see that rarepalmseeds has sold seeds of spineless peach palms in the past…

The only palm fruit I tasted was from my Butia Oderata . Nut much fruit before hitting the seed but wonderful flavor . It , to me , was like Apricot! Harry

edit: I lied …coconuts! But that’s the seed itself.

Since the fruit is such an important crop in Latin America it wouldn't surprise me if a seedless variety was intentionally developed such as with oranges and grapes.  Getting rid of the thorns is a plus too!
